Auckland City Brass Youth Programme

Under the appointment of Will Hu, the Auckland City Brass Youth Programme is for brass and percussion musicians 21 years and under. All levels of skill and experience are welcome.

In 2019, Auckland City Brass welcomed back the Youth Band program. It was very exciting for the whole band when we won the Youth Band section at the New Zealand National Band Competition in Wellington in 2022.

We have a Youth Band and a Junior Band, so there is a place for young players of all experience levels. We’d love to hear from anyone wanting to join the band or start learning an instrument.

The Youth Band rehearses from 2:30pm on Sundays, and the Junior Band from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Rehearsals are held at the City of Sails Bandroom, 98 Captain Springs Road

The primary goal for the ensemble is to improve as individuals and as a group, as well as enjoying the friendships and musical challenges that arise throughout the year.

Call for Instruments
